It's  easy! - Just Squeeze the Squid!
Squeezing the Squid feeds Active Fluid into the dispenser plate on the included Scottoiler derailleur pulley. This replacement pulley upgrades the stock lower pulley on your rear derailleur, and directs the Active Fluid lubricant exactly where its needed: to the load bearing surfaces of your chain. (the pins, rollers, & side plates) A combination of capillary action and centrifugal force from the chain passing over the rotating pulley help to effectively channel the Active Fluid lubricant into the tight crevices between the various moving & mating parts that make up your chain.

Lubricates: Once the water element of the Active Fluid evaporates, a very thin, almost invisible, protective layer of concentrated Active Fluid remains in place which lubricates and protects the chain from corrosion when the bike is stored.

Cleans: Any 'grinding-paste deposits' formed by a mixture of oil and dirt can be easily washed away by ordinary water. Black deposits on the hands, legs or clothing can also be easily washed away simply with cold tap water.

When the self- priming Squid is released, more fluid is drawn from the reservoir, ready for the next application.
